Nicholas Thompson may soon be a household name for golf fans. The 30-year-old, is quietly off to a terrific start in the 2013 PGA TOUR season. Thompson has made his first three cuts of the season, and finished a career-high T6 at the Humana Challenge. Thompson turned pro in 2005, upon graduating from Georgia Tech. The 2013 season marks Thompson’s 5th year having full-time status on the PGA TOUR. Thompson has collected over $3 million in career-earning since turning pro in 2005. Thompson won once on the Web.com Tour at the 2007 HSBC New Zealand PGA Championship. Thompson earned back his status for the 2013 PGA TOUR season by finishing 22nd on the 2012 Web.com Tour money list. Thompson finished 1st in Total Driving and 7th in greens-in-regulation percentage on the Web.com Tour in 2012. Thompson enters 2013 with a dangerous combination confidence and consistency. Look for Thompson to have a breakout season in 2013 and capture his 1st career PGA TOUR victory.
