Brandt Snedeker, has withdrawn from the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship citing sore ribs. Snedeker was first treated for soreness in his rib cage in January at the Humana Challenge. Snedeker once again felt soreness in his left rib cage Thursday at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, Snedeker went on to win the tournament. Snedeker is the FedExCup points leader and is ranked a career high 4th in the Official World Golf Rankings.

What a shame…he obviously had a chance to win. …Maybe next time.

Brandt has played a lot of golf so far this season so it’s understandable to be cautious with any injury.
He’ll want to be 100% fit and firing for the US Masters in April
It is tough too see the top golfers taking time off. We all want to watch them play and compete against each other; it definitely adds to the excitement of watching the game on TV. As a coach, I have said to players, I would rather loose you for a day than a week; a week than a month; or a month than the season. If he rests now, we may see some great play in the Majors.
Cheers
